Default building a table of contents

Hello
I am using frontpage 2002. I am trying to put together a table of contents for a history section
I am adding to my site. I have 8 pages of about 30
chapters each. I want to have a seperate table of contents listing all the chapters so a person can select the desired chapter and go right to it. I thought the bookmark tool would do this but apparently it only works if you are placing the book
marks on the same html page. If I select say chapter
40 on page 2 then go back to my table of contents it will say I have no bookmarks selected. so what am I doing wrong? thanks

Default

You need to have both the table of contents page and your chapter 40 page 2 open in the FP editor at the same time. Add the bookmark to page 2 and then the hyperlink on the TOC page. When you add the hyperlink on the TOC select the target page and as long as the target is still open in FP editor you should be able to select the bookmark.

Regards

Julian
