Default Programming for Mozilla - can only see raw HTML

Hi,

I am not a professional programmer or Web designer. But occasionally I set up simple text pages in Dreamweaver for odd items such as privacy policy, etc.

The following page loads OK in IE, but for some reason it shows up as raw HTML in Mozilla. I've been searching for days for the answer -- I must not be searching for the right question. Grrrrr.

http://www.smallbiztrends.com/privacy

What am I doing wrong?

Thank you for your help

at a guess id say youve forgotten to save it as an html file. rename it - adding the extention .htm, .html or whatever file type the other pages on the site are.

Default "Page Not Found" error

Hi Anita,

There seems to be a problem with the website.
Just entering the main domain for the site (www. smallbiztrends.com) returns a "Page Not Found" error.

Maybe you're working on that right now?

Paul

Hi Benihana,

You were right! (But you knew that, huh?)

I had deleted the .htm on the name to keep the URL simple, so I went back and added it in. And now I can see it with Mozilla!

Thanks for your help,
Anita

Hi Paul,

Oh you give me more credit than I deserve!!!

Actually, I have been using this URL simply as a place to load ancillary pages related to my blog site. For any kind of simple content that I don't want to put up as a blog post, such as privacy policy, terms of service, online version of newsletter, the odd image or two, etc.

But in light of your comment it looks like I should put up a simple home page for smallbiztrends.com.

If Blogger (the blogging software I'm using) were more flexible I wouldn't have to do this. But then again, with Blogger's slooooow performance these last two weeks, I've been thinking of jumping ship and moving to different blogging software out of desperation, anyway.

Thank you so much!

Anita
