I cannot believe that Microsoft chose to disable javascript by default. They would have been better off fixing the vulnerabilities in IE that can be exploited through javascript.
To "switch off" on of the most widely used technologies on the net is just crass. What will they do when they get enough complaints about homepage hijacking through css and java applets? Turn those off by default too?
There will be a high percentage of IE users who will not touch the default settings and wonder why the internet "is broken" with a lot of navigation systems rendered defunct.
Looks like we all have some work to do in recoding navigation systems.
