I am redesigning my site, and am thinking about including some "Package Deals", with the option of buying immediately (buy now button), even before getting in contact with me.
Package Deals could include hosting, site design, marketing, updates, etc. There would be about 12 packages total, with different options for different needs. Would this be a good idea? I was also thinking about a type of shopping cart where someone could add on the design features they choose. |

Good idea for you, possibly, but bad idea for your customers. Sites that are "package deals" don't work for them and won't make them money. They're all-too-often rushed and templated after something relatively simple, and end up costing the customer money. So I'd say lose them and quote on each project.

WoWzers,
I agree with ADAMWebDesign. I also think that you can help your customers make informed decision based on the way you present the information to them. Afterall we are in marketing business and it will always work to your advantage if you can upsell additional services to your customers. I suggest presenting them a menu from which to choose from. I am sure they won't need much convincing if they like your service and perceive value on the upsell items. Good luck! Curious George
