Default Dreamweaver Issue

Hopefully someone can shed some light on this problem. I am having a problem with my Dreamweaver when I try to download my entire site to the remote server it only goes through half of the pages indexed to the letter G and then stops. Has anyone else had this problem? Better yet has anyone been able to correct this problem? I have adjusted a number of settings however have had no luck.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've not experianced this personaly, but I don't like DreamWeaver's FTP proceedures. I prefer to use a dedicated FTP app like FTPVoyager...

Have you tried doing the upload in sections, maybe only 5 or 6 files at a time, this might seam strange but some FTP apps get confused easily and stop uploading after a certain period. Also, which version of DW are you using. MX has a patch which fixes some basic problems, get the patch from Macromedia.

Good luck..

Dear scticket,
I've been using dreamweaver for a long time now and I never had such a problem. Try to upload the files one at a time not all at once. Sometimes trying to upload all the files can cause problem. Upload it in the right folder of the server.
Just a little suggestion, hope it helps.

Use an ftp program, such as cuteFTP, WS_FTP or similar. I have had issues with the DW feature numerous times. It generally occurs if there are numerous files/folders being uploaded at one time (such as an entire site). It generally will hang at some point, and uploading each file individually is a pain.

I am not so sure if it is an actual issue with DW, or a combination of the host/connection and your computer/connection mixed with the DW transfer process.
