Default Spider Friendly Dynamic Content

I would like to create a dynamic table at the bottom of every page that is exactly the same. I would like to be able to update the table/text/content by updating only one file. The output has to be regular html. I don't want to rename the extension of the page to php. Is this possible?

Default SSI

If you don't want to rename to ".php" then I think you can go with Server Side Includes (SSI), assuming your host supports it.

I'm not an authority on SSI, I use php, but if you do some googling for "SSI" and "server side includes tutorials", I imagine you will find some information to point you in the right direction.

HTH.

flood6,

Thank you very much. SSI is the answer, I will have to put a custom .htaccess in every folder but once I do and then add the one line of include code to every page I'm good to go.

Thanks again!

Ah... But then you might have trouble with the .htaccess (Im just saying this because I had trouble with this back in the day... and even somtimes today!)

This would be great as long as you don't have to administer the .ht files seperately, or deal with the issue every time you create a new folder.

You might be jumping out of the pan into the fire...
