Unhappy Google won't index my site, why?

I know, there's no certainty when Google will index your site.

However, I just find it unusual that it's more than 2 weeks and Google still haven't index my new website. I installed Google Analytics and Google webmaster's tools on Sept 11. I also submitted a site map. I also build a handful of backlinks from forums such as this but it's still not there until today.

Yahoo already indexed my site. Ask, Bing and Lycos also haven't indexed my site yet.

I find it unusual because all my previous sites are usually indexed by Google in less than a week (10 days at most, except for this one). As long as there are links to my site from somewhere, Google can find it immediately. There's even a case where I didn't do any back linking or submission and yet, Google still found my site (maybe it's through WordPress feed).

But now, it's 19 days and Google still haven't indexed my site.

I hope any of you guys can tell if there's anything wrong with my site? If maybe I did something that Google didn't like.

This is the site that I'm referring to: PREFR: Philippine Real Estate Facts and Review

Thanks a lot.

Have you optimized the robots.txt file. Please make sure the spiders are allowed.

Does Google acknowledge any of your back links in the Webmaster tools? It doesn't do so in a link: search. Maybe it hasn't picked them up yet.

Why not get more back links related to your niche.
Don't just depend on forum signatures.
Have unique content on your site and write articles on it.

I also have same problem with my other site, Its been more than a week and it didn't cache but the rest are doing good. I think there is a problem with the site, maybe some page are not working thats why bots don't visit the site more often.

Unhappy Re: Google won't index my site, why?

This is getting out of hand. My site is no longer in Yahoo either.

Using Yahoo Site Explorer, I found out that Yahoo already found 21 inbound links to my site. And yet, Yahoo didn't index any of my pages?

In Google Webmaster Tools, Google found only 2 inbound links, but then we all know that Google don't display all inbound links. However I have a sitemap there, and it's indicated there that 24 URLs are submitted. Yet Google didn't index anyone of them?

Checked the robots.txt, there's nothing there to prevent my site from getting indexed.

Checked the meta and there's meta robots (except for pages that I really do not want to get indexed).

What's going on?

have you submitted your sitemap to Google?
Have you pinged your site?

I saw some of your backlinks and a lot of them are nofollow
You really dont have any good links pointing to your site

I didn't check to see if you have duplicate content....but is any of your pages duplicate content?

Top reason why a site doesnt get indexed is that it doesnt have any quality links

One of the reason is robots but you say that its done then I suggest you that write a Press Release for your website launch and publish it in top PR publication sites.

And you see that after done this task you site cache in next 2-3 days. One more thing check that your content and meta is unique not copy from any where.

Some times Crawler not find any updates and quality on your website then they strict spider to revisit website not frequently.

So if you need that spider crawl your website frequently then always do changes and try to get new links to show updates in your website.

My site is indexed but it keep showing on and off the search results. Does some of the gurus have any solutions to it. I have been given cannoicalization script but I want to know which is the right one. I will paste the two below and you tell me which one I should put in my .ht access file

1st script

### Require the www to avoid cannonicalization issues ###
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^www\.myukhotels\.com [NC]
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://www.myspacefm.com/$1 [L,R=301]

### Redirect index.htm to / ######
RewriteCond %{THE_REQUEST} ^[A-Z]{3,9}\ /.*index\.htm?\ HTTP/
RewriteRule ^(.*)index\.htm?$ http://www.myukhotels.com/$1 [R=301,L]

### Redirect index.html to / ######
RewriteCond %{THE_REQUEST} ^[A-Z]{3,9}\ /.*index\.html?\ HTTP/
RewriteRule ^(.*)index\.html?$ http://www.myukhotels.com/$1 [R=301,L]

-----------------------------------------------------
2nd script

RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^www\.myukhotels\.com [NC]
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://www.myspacefm.com/$1 [L,R=301]

RewriteCond %{THE_REQUEST} ^[A-Z]{3,9}\ /.*index\.htm?\ HTTP/
RewriteRule ^(.*)index\.htm?$ http://www.myukhotels.com/$1 [R=301,L]

RewriteCond %{THE_REQUEST} ^[A-Z]{3,9}\ /.*index\.html?\ HTTP/
RewriteRule ^(.*)index\.html?$ http://www.myukhotels.com/$1 [R=301,L]

Hurray!

Google already indexed my site. I just found today. I don't know why Google took this long with indexing my site, but at least I now know that Google can sometime take this long before indexing my site and I can change what I usually promise to my clients.

I have just found this forum from a Google search for "why is my site taking so long to index" and I am having a real problem with one of my sites. Is Google taking longer lately? As the OP stated also, my other sites seem to be picked up quickly, but the one I just paid a fortune for sportsquadbikes (.com) site is not indexing after a month. I have spent all this time designing the site and gettting this set up and now Google is lagging. Any additional info from other SEO gurus would be appreciated.

You guys have a great forum here also, BTW!

I just wanted to add that I have written and submitted several articles, directory links, and social website submissions to no avail.

The funny thing is, the site I just added to Google Webmaster Tools : myownseo(.com) is already Indexed and I added it yesterday!

I have just finished an exhaustive revamp of the site to see if Google indexes the site from the new sitemap.

wordgeist, if you want me to have a look at your site to see what might be causing the problems, I will do that. Just send me the URL..

Regards,
Ryan

I bought a domain that is over a year old and uploaded the site around 5 weeks ago. I have done almost 2,000 backlinks for the site already so I am at a loss to be honest.

I am worrying a bit now, as I am going back to florida for christmas (now live in UK) so I wanted the site to be on its way up the rankings before I left. This way, it will be self sufficient so to speak so my business partners will be able to run affairs without me. I really need google to index the site asap!!!

Hi there no, the site my own seo is already indexed I was using this as an example because this was indexed within 24 hours, and the site I want to be indexed sports quad bikes com is not indexed after a month.

I have done a combination of back links including Article Submissions, Directory Submissions, Social Website Submissions, Blog Submissions. I do SEO for a living and I have never had this problem before. I am usually successful in getting sites ranked PR2-3 within 3 months as I have with my site sterlingdesignuk com

Just joined this forum for the same reason as this thread. We re-launched our website 5 days ago. The entire site navigation and content changed. We have an existing page rank of 4 with about 400 backlinks (per Yahoo Site), have do follows, and no duplicate content.

Oddly, about 5 minutes after our new site went live, all of the pages not only appeared in Google natural results, but were very highly ranked for their target keyword terms.

Now, all of that ranking goodness is gone, and the site pages aren't indexed in Google, but they are in Yahoo! So what gives? Anyway to check to see if our site was blacklisted?

possibly QDF query deserves freshness

Your site brings new content and it ranks well but you didnt add links or quality backlinks to sustain the rankings

if you would blacklisted then you would not be able to find your domain on google searching

Yeah I have just done that I just thought I'd be cheeky! I forgot to mention that I don't think Google is taking longer to index site now, as I have had 3 site indexed lately within 24 hours. I just build a few backlinks, and use social websites and in 24 hours im indexed.
Google is taking longer to index these days ...

And FYI: in the future, please speak directly to the top of the OP or start a new thread.

Thanks!!

Cheers, MJ
