Default Site Indexing Problem - help

My new site www.checksmall.com was just indexed yesterday...32 pages and today there are only 2 pages indexed. Does anyone know what would cause that to happen and what I can do about it?

Thanks...

Because indexing does not happen instantaneously. They fetch the URL's and then add them to the "list" of URL's they need to go back and crawl.

Dave - Does this explain why they would list them one day and not the next?

They have many data centers and like to switch between them to give users the serp results. Your site is new and it takes some time for them to synchronize all data centers. So no need to worry and give them some time.

Hi everyone,

My site is indexed now. All of the pages are showing up. I hope it stays that way this week.

Thank you for your help. I really appreciate your comments.

It may take time for indexing the internal pages. Try getting backlinks for internal pages too.

Yes, sitemaps are the way to get your site indexed.

But that's useless unless you get external back links to internal pages to have these ranked well in results. I would vote for focusing on promoting certain pages that can lead traffic.

Or at least make an txt version of sitemap. I think sometimes it happens when you use duplicate content in your site. But not in your occasion, i've cheked with copyscape.com and it's all clear

If your pages are new, it will take some time before Google will cache it.
To let Google know your pages exists, create some backlinks from other sites.
Do not forget to ping your backlinks too. Good Luck!
