new domains that point to site

Hi All,
I have my site www.magicmud.com up for over a year, doing some biz, never enough, wondering if I get other domain names that are related to my web site and have them point to my site will I be penalized by search engines. For instance I do quite a few sculptures for wedding cake toppers, and have a page on my site just for them...if I register a new domain, lets say personalizedcaketoppers.com and have it point to my existing page will search engines penalize or be "mad" at me??? or is this acceptable....?? same for dentalfigurines.com, lawyerfigurines.com..etc??...any opinions, thanks from a greenhorn, Hunter Vaughan
