Google penalty for one keyword --> 200 down in ranking results

I am completely lost......
My WEBsite used to rank well in google and in a few weeks the homepage got a ranking of 200+ what used to be top 10-15 in Google. This only for one Keyword combination: ICT vacatures

Everyone is telling me this is not possible but it is the case. It ranks well for other keywords like: ICT banen.

When i mistype ICT vacatures : ICT vactures I have a top 10 ranking again......

Bling gives me even a nr. 1 position.

Who can give me some hints and tips ?

There are a number of things that could have happened.

You could have lost some links with the anchor text for the keyword that lost rankings.
You could have had someone 'report' your listing to googles spam team for that keyword.
Your on-page factors may not have kept up with recent changes.
Your site might suck for that keyword query.

If you are trying to compete in the jobs market you may have seen that new site love Google gives out and then takes away.. The jobs market is incredibly tough no matter what language you are competing in so I would be surprised if worked in to the top 20 and stayed there without a serious advertising budget..

Then they changed a ranking factor that your site relied on heavily and made it worth less than before.. I have no idea how you promoted the site, but that happens all the time..

I heard somewhere that it's not a good idea to use the same keyword more than 25% of the time - it's best to use a variety of keywords

Is it true? I experienced the same situation as OP and I used the same keyword. I will add more keywords to see if it will improve my ranks.

If you don't understand German and you can help, you do not need to laugh about the damages of a members web site.

Members here hate such posts. They are annoying and time consuming. If you have a lot of time, we experts don't.

So do us a favor and give it up. It is obvious that you are trying to reach a number of posts, so your signature will become visible. If you continue this, I will ask the forums administrators and mods for a manual intervention for your case.

This type of variation is happening always.. check the index status.. may be remove the site from index.. Some time after google updation.. taking time for finishing all... may be this issue due to multiple data centers... if not return within a month after continue the SEO then check care fully

this happened to me as well in the US listings. I was on page 2 (still not all that impressive) for Philadelphia Web Design now I'm on page 5. Angering. Wish I could figure out why.

A quick drop of 200+ SERPs for only one keyword on a relatively new site sounds to me like a Google penalty rather than the "dance".

When sites are young it is very easy to overdo the adding of backlinks, or, to succumb to paying for high PR backlinks, or, to pay an inexpensive foreign SEO to add a few hundred (spammy) links at "only $1.40 per link!"

All of these can get a single keyword knocked down for awhile in my experience. Examine your recent linkbuilding efforts to be certain you haven't done one of the above. If you have then STOP IT; things will return to normal in a few months after which you can resume building links moderately and correctly.

I know of a site that found itself right in the middle of nowhere due to spam issues and could not get out for about a year I guess - there was a blog response for that, so the whole issue got quite a bit of attention. Therefore, the first thing that comes to my mind here is a spam penalty, although this is just a best guess.

Another thing that seems likely is a combination of an algo change with heavy reliance on a single link-building strategy, although the reliance needs to be real heavy.

Now it is July and this has been more than a week, so I think it can not be a fluctuation which generally occurs when Big G make changes in its algorithm.

Because I did notice heavy fluctuation in my website ranking on Google but all settles down within a week but that too was one by one keyword.

Now I think you should revise your changes if you made some just before this ranking change.
If you are working more than enough on link building than you should give gaps in it and do it naturally don't do overwhelming.
