Default Optimising for 4-word keyphrases

If you do a search on Google SA for:

"network support cape"
"it support cape" or "support cape"
"laptop repairs cape"
"computer repairs cape"

...you will find our clients site www mousehouse co.za in the top 5 results

... add the word "town" to the end of any of those phrases and it disappears of the SERPS - of course we need to optimise for the full phrases... eg: "network support cape town". This is a four word keyphrase and really should not be all that difficult, but...

Any suggestions welcome... please.

Yes if you already rank well for those 3 word phrases, it should be very easy to also get rankings for 4 word phrases that overlap your existing 3 word phrases. Just ensure that the 4th word is in your page. Then build some backlinks using that 4 word phrase as link anchor text. It should take very few links to get decent rankings for that phrase.

You need to work harder on Geotargeting your clients. Thankfully, there are a couple of simple solutions.

Most importantly, if you want to rank for searches in your immediate area, get a Google Maps listing for the business, make sure you're listed in a few phone directories and try to post links in some reputable local business sites and directories.

Where possible, you can build relevance by using keywords, page titles and headings as linkable text both on inbound links and your internal pages.

While it appears that your pages are being spidered, it seems that all of your inbound links are being filtered out of the results pages. Open a Google browser window and enter the following search phrase:
Code:
link:www.mousehouse.co.za
Don't waste time or money buying thousands of links. Build inbound links from high quality business directories and computer forums in your region. Use Google's "link:" operand to find where your competitors are listed and get listed there too.

There are a few issues with your language code, keywords and description that are hindering your success.

HTML Code:
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" >
<head><title>
	IT support, Cape Town | Support for PC's, laptops, printers and networks
</title><meta id="ctl00_Keywords" name="Keywords" content="IT support, cape town" /><meta id="ctl00_Description" name="Description" content="Searching for professional IT support? Cape Town based Mouse House IT understands the frustration experienced by businesses when their PC's won't work. Let us help! " />
Here's what I'd recommend:
HTML Code:
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" lang="en-ZA">
<title>Laptop Computer and Notebook Repair in Cape Town</title>
<meta name="description" content="Professional Tech Support from MouseHouse IT services diagnose and repair your computer, printer and network problems fast."/>
<meta name="keywords" content="computer, network, laptop, notebook, tech support, repair, cape town"/>
The "lang" tag serves as a clue to the spider. It clearly indicates whom you're targeting.

Don't put your company name in the title tag unless you know for certain that you've established brand recognition similar to that of Microsoft. (You have not)

The Meta keywords tag should contain a few of your most highly targeted keywords and phrases, not a line of text. Furthermore, few clients are going to search using the phrase "Mouse House," so why include it there?

On the same note, seeing your targeted keyphrases, I wonder if you're certain that those will bring in the most traffic. Keep researching keywords and phrases to find "low hanging fruit" that your competition might not be well optimized for.

Finally, try to get some deep inbound links to some of the interior pages outlining your other services.

Rule of thumb? Optimize for Google first. Get that right and success in the other SE's will follow.

Good Luck.
