Low ranking on Google and high ranking on Yahoo and MSN for same keyword

Keyword - psd to html (high volume keyword)

The website xhtml. weboutsourcingservices . com is ranking 18 on Google and 3 on Yahoo and MSN.

I have tried the following:
Links, Directories, Article submission and Blogs - over 100+ in total
Changes in Meta tags, Alt tags and Title Tags
Submission of Sitemap to Google, Yahoo and MSN

After this the ranking jumped to 3 in Yahoo and MSN but Google it is still 18 (moved from 22).

Please let me know what steps I should take to move up in Google

Google is more librel than others.. and also u r in the 18 th position.. means u r in right way and also will take some time to get a better position on Google bcz all sEO are looking for google only and doing optimization for it. So continue waht u r doing and try to make more BL to it

It could take some time before you see an effect in Google and Google is harder to rank in. Plus ranking high in other search engine does not mean you have optimized your site well for Google - as Google has other factors that they may be looking at for ranking.

relative to the two other engines Google is more off-page, preferring older links from older sites. Your rankings on Yahoo and Google indicate that you're doing the right things. Just hang in there and Google will come round.

He doesnt mean it literally to hang in there, he said that, continue what are you doing ( link building and promotion) right, not just stop doing and hang in there for a while.

It is important to note that google, yahoo. msn approaches diferently in ranking of their sites. Although its important that a website should rank well in all three but it is quite impossible to have same rank or similar in all three. Make three projects different i.e of yahoo, msn, google and concentrate differently. I wish you good luck.

I'm not sure about my ranking, never checked them on Yahoo and MSN but going by my site stats if I get a lot of traffic from Google then my traffic from Yahoo and MSN traffic is low and if I get a lot of traffic from Yahoo or MSN then my Google traffic is low. I get a lot more from my Google images then what I do from just Google.

LOL that is kinda funny since I am seeing very good ranking from google and msn and horrible for yahoo. I try not to change since google is really the only one I am concerned with, if I begin to focus on yahoo more than likely I will piss off google and lose serps position.

I quite agree with you. It is better to rank high in google as they have the biggest share of the web traffic. Many web surfers use google more for their search so I will prefer being found in google than in the other search engines. However, if you get good ranking in all of them, its great.

eveytime i will get 80% traffic from google according to yahoo and msn. so try to get better position on google. good luck for you, my friend. try to get more backlinks.

Just focus on your ranking in Google and don't bother about the other SE..Google is widely used SE, especially in SEO..Ranking in Google is harder than ranking in the other, just be patient for your site to rank..

Most people are focusing their SEO effort for google. So it is harder to get a good position in google. Persisting is the key.

Same problem happen with me. I have work on uk based car site and all keywords are stable on good position in google uk but suddenly what happen I don't know! Think Links! Specifically relevant anchor text links from indexed pages. Submitting to 100 sites might get you 60 links back but the leaders for those search terms have thousands of links.

Keep on going, your good rankings on Yahoo and MSN (soon to be combined as one search engine) show that you have good on page optimization and are starting to develop a good link profile.

Time, Patience and hard work will get you where you want to go.

There is no short cut for success.
You need to do WORK regularly.

I was one of the few who are experiencing problem in SEs rankings.
I have good rankings in Google but not in Yahoo.. though most of the
SEOs are looking forward in Google's ranking there are still client that
want their site to appeared on Yahoo.

The thing that I can suggest to you in rankings in Google was.. you need
to focus on your chosen keywords then do the continues promotion for
your site and at the same time make sure that you have a quality backlinks.

most seo people are focusing on Google, maybe that is the reason why it is really hard to get on top of Google... there was a time that my keywords are totally lost in rankings for almost two weeks in Google, but after i start to add more links and supply more fresh content on my site, it returned to his original position in Google... i think it is because of the competition...

Updating the site regularly is a good sign interms of SEO.

Google sees and evaluates links differently from Yahoo and MSN that's why you'll get different rankings.

I have a website which rank very well in Yahoo and very low in Google in this moment. But with a month ago it rank very well in Google and very bad in Yahoo. I think the search algorithms cannot permit same results in both engines. Google put more accent on IBL.
