Noticing some odd happenings in listings

Hello all,

I'm observing other sites coming to the top of Googles search engine listings that were never at the top before. They were never in the top 10 at least.
I've monitored this niche area almost everyday for the last 7 years and its starting to look a lot like the same trend from last year.
My clients site isn't being bothered by all the new sites coming to the top, but it is very weird all the same.

This just starting happening yesterday on the 17th. Anyone else noticing sites coming to the top that were nowhere to be found near the top before?
