Friendly Google Geo Redirect

Hi,

A couple of months ago, I used a java script geo redirect to redirect visitors from Mexico from www.mysite.com site to www.mysite.com.mx

Weeks later my site's home page almost completely vanished from Google

Question:
Is there a way to use geo redirect with Google without the above negative effects?
