Default adwords campaign w/ pagerankglobal.com

Hi all,

my company is looking to start in on some Google adwords campaign. We've been approached by a company (pagerankglobal DOT com) that's saying they'll guarantee us top 3 placement for a few different keywords in the 'sponsored link' section for a flat rate each month.

My questions are:
a. has anyone had any experience with this company
and
b. they describe themselves as 'authorized google adwords specialists'...is there even such a thing?

my experience with adwords is, well, none-existent, so any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thumbs down Re: adwords campaign w/ pagerankglobal.com

Well, for a start Google doesn't recognize them, nor do they turn up per MNS/sympatico in any variety of names -- which shouldn't be the case of they're any good or of any substance.
I'd simply let them go.
Instead, although there's a lot of learning involved in getting an AdWord campaign to be successful, Google themselves have a ton of ideas to help you, as do the gurus such as Perry Marshall (Google him to find out more).
Otherwise their guarantee is no better than the one that (too many) SEO solicitations often offer. Truth is anyone with only a smattering of SEO can make sure of a high SERP position for a keyword or keyword phrase. The trick is as simple as choosing a word or a phrase that almost no-one is going to punch into the search box.
But making AdWords work doesn't take money. The key lies in study, some trial and error, and a willingness to fathom out what isn't right when it's going wrong.
