Question Google admits that Google Chrome tracks web addresses

Hello WPW members,

I've shared my thoughts and opinions on this topic at the link below.

Why Google has released Google Chrome browser?

Please post your valuable comments and thoughts about why google felt the need to release Google Chrome browser. I'm looking forward to hear what you guys have to say. Please contribute your thoughts.

Warm Regards,

This is going to be controversial to say the very least.

Spyware - Site reflection - browser using cookies to track ISP searches. Google at war with other browsers and Bill Gates - me? I'll stick to Opera thanks.

Google is about to revolutionise (or ize for some of you ) the internet as you and I know it - this is just the beginning. Say bye bye to satelitte TV say hello to Google TV on a TV/PC near you very soon. BBC say goodnight to fees. And say a fond farewell to Cinema's. Ten years I reckon.

Providing we get past Wednesday - has anyone been following the Worlds Stock Exchanges today?? Red Red Red

End of the World parties - Nice one France.

Another thing that came to my mind is Google might offer a permanent ad spot somewhere on the chrome browser just like the way adwords ads are being displayed in GMail at top. This will be a huge business gain for them as they rely on adwords income.

Wouldnt suprise me at all. It's one of the very few things that annoy me about Google, but they have to make their money somehow.

Interesting! What are the other things that annoy you about google? AS far as my personal opinion is concerned I think Google is doing thier best to offer as easy and simple experience to web users in everything they do.

Google Chrome vulnerable to carpet-bombing flaw

Here is a good article about this new Web browser is vulnerable to a carpet-bombing vulnerability that could expose Windows users to malicious hacker attacks.

I've read at statcounter that with Google's Chrome ... there is no effect on IE but there is a slowdown in FireFox usage.

I dont want to steer the thread in the wrong direction but that nofollow crap is annoying. We have to state what are 'paid for links' on our sites and then Googe goes and sticks paid for ads above the organic results in the SERPs.

Otherwise I think all their software is very intuitive and is leading the web forward - google maps is great and their other 'google labs' products. Google Chrome will hopefully fall into the same level of greatness, its still got quite a way to go at the moment.

In terms of accessibility, there are very few shortcut keys, menus are illegible in windows high contrast mode and they seem to be using it as a spyware tool to record browser habits. So i'll not be using it instead of Firefox!
