Ways to get links

Since Links are the big thing right now I thought it would be fun to list ways to find links.

I did not list the bad ways to find links so keep in mind all links are not good links.

1. Directory's

2. Start your own blog

3. Reciprocal Links

4. Writing good text, good design, or good graphics that would make people want to link to you.

5. Writing Articles

6. Send out press releases

7. Writing Testimonials for a product or company you used. Tell them they can use the testimonial as long as they link to you

8. Post in Forums

9. Have more then one website and link them together

10. Have an award and make it where it links back to your site.

11. Pay for banner ads or text ads on high traffic web sites


Does anyone have more ideas?

5. Writing Articles turn into PDF (with links to you) and provide a soft license for reproduction

I never thought about starting my own Directory I wonder how hard that would be?

About as difficult as starting your own forum! ;P
