What's going on??

I am confused by something. I've used a number of the different link checker tools online. They all tell me that I have 100+ backlinks with Yahoo, Alltheweb, Altavista -- and exactly 0 with Google. Why is this? Why the big disparity? Why would I have zero links according to Google and so many with the others? Can anyone shed some light on this?

Why would they be different. They are completely different engines.

What I was trying to understand is why one search engine would simply not recognize, not count or not value all of these links that the other search engines do. Many of them are from relatively reputable sites - not affiliate sites or link directories.

How do you they are not? The SE dont show you all the links they count for you or against you.

Is there any way to find out what links are being counted by a particular search engine? Not really. Back links are not a quantitative thing. It is all about quality and relevance.

In an ideal world every IBL / OBL is semantic.

Jaan, would you personally say no to an IBL from these PR 10 Pages - PR10 List - PageRank 10 Sites sites?

I'm not talking about ranking or anything. I just want to know if Google is even registering these links - does Google acknowledge that they exist or not. That's all I'm trying to find out.

Don't you have a tool in your Google webmaster account (if you have one) to get a more precise result?

No I wouldnt. but I would not ask for it either.
