ASP Redirect to Mobile Site

Hi,
I am creating my mobile website, I got a seperate domain i.e www.mysite.mobi. what I will trying to do is running a script on my main business website, which will detect the mobile browser and redirect it to my .mobi website, so people will use the same website address on mobile phone but they will redirect to my .mobi. My question is that ok to run a server site script on my home page to redirect the user to another domain i.e .mobi or this will hurt my serp on google mean is this method for redirecting is ok for search engines? waiting for the reply.
