Google Ranking for Blogs

Hi folks,

I'm just starting a new blog on Blogger dot com. I cannot seem to find anyplace to insert key words or meta tags in this software.

Is this normal for blogger dot com sites?

What can I do to get off on the right foot for drawing traffic to my blog?

Here's a code for meta that you can use
<meta content='your description' name='description'/>
<meta content='your keywords' name='keywords'/>


If you want to get traffic for your site build more links pointing to your site by forums posting, bookmarking submission, and blog commenting

Thanks. I noticed that google points to my "about me" page. So I'll put in key words in my "about me" and see what that does.

and forget all about meta keywords for Google theyre not worth the time they take you to write them

Keywords are not the answer - content, content, content - and maybe a descent title tag. Inbound links to your blog, cross links within your blogs, and blog directories using you blog.

Think about submitting to itunes, and various blog-centric outltets... the more you post the more they listen....

Use of tools - I've notice that google likes if you use their tools - try Picasa for your image, YouTube for you video's and Google Maps for any address references....they like to see you're web 2.0....

Other domains... do you have a dot CA domain? dot UK domain? reference the country you're trying to target....it'll help your ranking....the rule with search engines seems to be - the clearer you tell them what you ARE about, the less time they have to spend figuring out WHO you are.
