I get the feeling that this may be a really simple (stupid) question but is there a way to tell on what day a particular page was added to Google? I have been doing this for a while but I never really cared exactly when a page was added to Google.
Thanks ahead of time. Arthur |

Hi,
Go to google.com, click on "Advanced Search", then on "Date, usage rights, numeric range, and more" and select a date range. The value of as_qdr=... in the query string defines the date range. If you directly change it, you can check finer ranges than the ones available in the menu. Jean-Luc |

I like to check for most recent crawl. To do that, I type the entire URL of my site (including the http, etc part) into the Google search bar.
What is returned is Google's info on your site including a link that says, Cached. Click that and it will tell you when your site was last crawled. I am still waiting for the first crawl on one of my new sites: Eco-Friendly Medicine Let's see how long it takes. The first draft has been up for 2 days now. |

If you mean when a page was first indexed, to the best of my knowledge, that information is not available; only the date/time of most recent crawl is to be had, by way of the cached data presented, as described above by meadrose.

or just check your log files

Assuming that such are available, which is not universally the case, that's an awfully hard way to go about it. Even if some are at hand, older ones may no longer be.
One would have either search each and every file, or concatenate them into a single file, and then search for each and every occurrence of a string equal to the name of one of Google's several spiders.
