Default keep redirected url on dashboard?

Googles webmaster forum has not responded to my posting.

I recently changed my website url from uclaim.com to insurance-claims-questions.com and registered the icq.com to google webmaster tools and changed the analytics tracking code account number on all my pages to the icq.com account number.

1. Since I permanent redirected uclaim.com to icq.com, should I delete uclaim.com from the Google Webmaster Tools Dashboard or leave it there?

2. If I leave it, should I use the same sitemap.xml for both url's?

3. Will I get penalized for duplicate content?

4. I have 4 other url's permanent directed to icq.com. Should I register those url's with the search engines?

Thanks much

Default Re: keep redirected url on dashboard?

If you are 301 redirecting 1 or many URLs to your new URL nobody (including spiders) will be crawling the old websites any longer. So duplicate content should not be a problem

I am sure you can leave all the domains in your GWT.

It is up to you if you want to have more websites live than two. We can’t decide that for you.

To bad your doing this. uclaim sure soudns like amuch better brand and domain to build around than insurance-claims-questions.com. keywords in the domain name matter VERY VERY little. Especially in this case where you have a great domain like uclaim.com and a very competitive industry.

Default Re: keep redirected url on dashboard?

Thanks incredible. But I'm wondering why google analytics is still tracking and showing results for uclaim.com when I removed the uclaim account id from the urchin tracking code and did the 301 redirect for uclaim.com 6 weeks ago via Godaddy domain name hosting?
