Default No More Search Results on a PR3 Domain

I have a domain that Google just stopped serving in its results. It will not serve it for any term whatsoever, not even the domain name. As of April 8 2am CST they erased 38,000+ indexed pages. In the webmaster tools it now says it has no pages in its index and it may take a long time to get a site indexed. The robot visits a lot and makes over 100k hits a month. It still shows "what Google sees" and all but no pages in the index site, links, etc.

The domain name with .com produces some results that are links back to the site, hit counters on videos, stories about the site and people raving about it.

It was getting over 100 people a day from Google search results. Now 0.

There is nothing there like sold links. Only a couple friends restaurants and similar video sites banner advertising. Yahoo and Adbrite combinations but adbrite never beats the yahoo ads for display anyway. The site has a video part with embeded youtube clips relevant to the name and the market and the drupal set up as a news and blog site. Not really anything harsh there or political except one can find wild stuff from the youtube videos.

The site still shows a 3 on toolbar pagerank but sitexxx.com gets nothing now when I got 38k just the day before and for months. The site is online a couple years.

I have never had a plain old site get punched like this and have to ask help. You can PM me if you want the site name as I am not interested in publishing that.

I sent a reinclusion because it was in and now is not - so obvious needs to be reincluded. But since there is no scamming software on it I told them what is running, why, market, and asked if they could tell ME what the problem was.

Wasn't there a thing where they actually sent out letters to websites before they pulled numbers on them?

Sure I will take a look. With only 100 visits day it doesnt seem like that popular of websites, so any little thing could have knocked it out. Are you sure you were down for an extended period of time?

The logs on the webmaster tools show about 56 out of 49,000 pages unreachable on a couple days last month. The provider has been sketchy for the last month but there are also 20 other sites there that have not suffered this fate (should I say yet?)

The thing is the sitemeter, which you can go to from the bottom of the site page, shows all the stats. Google sends people as do the others and the average depth is 3 to 4 pages. Quite good. It is more like 0 to 39 pages as I saw it. Some love it, some just go. But the video attracts and keeps users so there is quality content available. You can still get to the referrals to see the last of google. Now it is just msn, live and yahoo feeding it.

This makes no money and never was expected to so it is not for the amazing traffic I am concerned. It is that listing.

I get the feeling there is competition and I do not know it. Someone submarined it?

I have been advised, and accept, that I should post the domain in question. There is nothing strange about it and that is why I do not want to put it in strange occurances. But it has 0 pages in Google and had 10,000's so it needs to find out why the instant bye-bye. There is nothing to loose and everything to get back.

Latin TV on demand presents the best of Latino Music videos

will lead you to the video site.

The link for the secondary blog and entertainment section is

Latin TV La Dulce Vida! | The Best in Latino Entertainment

The sitemeter is open and you can see what is happening.

I just looked and while Google was evil enough to just erase the site their employees are still enjoying the latin fare, they were no referrer so it was bookmarked full page url. All of these can be seen in the stats at sitemeter along with the last few from Google before the spigot turned off from them

All real search engines report just fine and the listings are there.

No real idea why its banned but if you goto:
latintv.com

it auto forwards to:
latintv.com/video/

Google does not like auto-forwarding (you could sending their [what they perceive as theirs] client to a porn site), and here you are doing this on the root of the domain! Doh!

Add to that the fact:
latintv.com/video/

returns an 403 error - forbidden page, then its no wonder your listings have dropped.

The google webmaster forum helped me quickly to see what was wrong with my site.

I am ashamed to stand before my peers and tell you that I believe google sees this site as a porn or porn spammer. I am not sure I can argue and we are looking at why the script is getting this restricted stuff from the Yahoo API.

I am going to get the script fixed. Probably a day or so. What to do with the site while I am fixing it? I found a keyword with less junk but it is still around.

Should I take it down and make sure it is very temporary (like a day) and how would I set up the pages or redirects if I did that. Or should I not worry about it while we fix that bugger? It is already gone from big G search until it is fixed I assume?

Thanks for that heads up, I forgot the rewrite for the people not using www. it is now fixed.

You got 403 because I am working on it and trying to fix the script. Frankly I am not worried about the traffic or google search until I can fix the restricted content display.

Your "auto-forwarding" is what we programmers call a 301 perm redirect and that is what is called for. The site is not at root level and there are several parts to the site in sub directories. Imagine, if you can, trying to entertain a community. You have a space to do blogs, news stories, and video. You might add things later and not want to take down the other functions. This is how it should be done. If you go now you will easily find the link to Latintv blogs and news there on the site in another subdir and same the other way round. I might add a video share community software but I should not have to take my blogs or video on demand sites down from the project just because of that. If I want the new project to be the main project I would use 301 to tell it that. Otherwise they become links from whichever section is the main site. the structure would be like this:

video/ - on demand videos
web/ - blog news
share/ - upload and community sharing

You can choose which one you want to be the main url with the 301. the 301 tells them that this is the main url site. If you look at the sitemap.xml you will see the actual layout I am designing for as I place a .9 for main sites, .8 for sections on the sites and either .5 or .6 if I link any actual pages. Usually I let them find pages and section is fine. Link the parts and you have a broad content services for your community. I have not built out the share community yet.

The fact is I am happy that they killed all the listings. That was restricted content. I agree with what they did. They did wipe out real content from the /web part, but I can get that back when I fix the ondemand script. I am happier knowing what is wrong and now able to fix it than getting the surprise slap with no heads up. When it is back they can get new listings with good content. The fact that they leave the page rank and the stuff in the webmaster tools makes me believe that they want that restricted content off to treat it like a real site. I would have asked them to remove all the stuff they found that was porn - it is spam. I jusy had no idea.

So I am off to do the coding and let you know how it works out.
