Does Tag Cloud helps seacrh engine optimization?

Many website now use Tag Cloud feature which allows visitors/user to add tags. I need to ask is there any benefit of using Tag Cloud for optimizing tagged links in Google search results? Or is there any other search engine benefit from it? I thank you for your assistance in advance.

Well it depends if the links in the text cloud can be spidered or not.

I think, it helps that's why most of websites are now using it. Basically, it help visitors to find the top most visited pages on the websites.

It's more for the visitors than for the search engines. For the search engines, you just need a list of links. A tag cloud shows relative importance of those pages in terms of volume.
