Default Redirect Issue

My clients website www.abc.com is redirected to XYZ Consulting and we have optimized XYZ Consulting. MSN and yahoo have recognized redirected site but google still showing www.abc.com in cached version of XYZ Consulting and therefore there is no rankings on google while site is fairly ranked on google and yahoo.

Please let me know how do I resolve google issue.

Thanks

Patience.

As long as the redirects are 301's eventially it will get sorted out. Submitting a site map isn't a bad idea either.

The new home page is usually found and indexed quite quickly. Inner pages can take 30 days or more.

Actually abc.com is redirected to abc.go.com... Just kidding, I know you were just using a made-up reference...

I agree with crankydave... patience.

I've seen redirects take as long as up to almost 2 months.

A lot of it has to do with how frequently Google bots are returning. Using the tips crankydave's mentioned is the ticket. Also keep your content fresh regularly in case further redirects are coming.

It could be possible that website ABC . COM has a higher priority on Google rather than XYZ . COM *( due to some reason).

You can resolve this issue by doing 301 redirect from ABC ->XYZ.

In case you dont want to do 301 redirect, you can try testing ranking power of ABC . COM to see why it is receiving priority on Google. It could be possible that your website ABC . COM was previously opimitimized and received good number of back links.

If your website ABC has higher priority then it wont be right to redirect high priority domain to a low priority domain.
