Default Google Adwords "Competive Statement"

Hi All,

Got a problem with a competitor but I'd like some constructive advice as to how I should go about it or even if I should bother spending anymore time on it?

Anyways, If you do a search for "milonic" in Google you get an adwords ad for a company called plugin lab. Now this in itself isn't my problem. My problem is the text they have used:

"Milonic Menus Improved" and "Milonic Menus Save Money" are what I would call competitive statements. Wouldn't you agree? The fact that they have used the word milonic is unethical.

However, Google doesn't seem to think so and is not going to change them, that IMHO sucks.

Am I being unreasonable here or do I have a justifiable gripe? What you do in my position?

Cheers,
Andy

Hmmm... is "milonic" or "milonic menu" a part of a registered trade name or trade mark? If not, then Google would not see a problem with a competitor using those terms.

Trademark has been applied for - just waiting for it to go through.

Maybe I'm just being paranoid about all this. It is business after all, just unethical business.

I suppose, if they have to revert to these tactics then they must be struggling. At least we are not in the same position and don't have to do business the same way.

I'll keep you posted

Got to wait for the trademark. I tried bidding on some NIKE keywords the other day and was denied by Google because of trademarks.
