I pay $89 per month for sitewide links coming from a site/forum/reading area that are dead on match for relevancy. The count is up to about 33,000 IBL's from this site now.
They must have been hit by the paid advertising penalty since they were reduced fro PR6 index page and a few PR5's - then tons of PR4 & 3's. This went on for about a year and finaly the got slapped down to PR3, a ton of PR2's and another ton of PR0 links. They happily plug away with their paid links scheme - still inviting on from the index page - leading to a full expalantion of prices for various links packages. I only pay for advertising but enjoyed a lot of link juice from the old method. Now that has ried up and my SERPs are steadily, precipitously fall behind. Can using their paid "advertising" (produces no visitors) be harming me now in light of Google changes? I see that you can't read the source code to clearly anymore and there'sots of stuff added tha wasn't there anymore. The say they have switched to this site for their PR or link handling (not sure) it's this site that writes the links now Dynamic Drive DHTML(dynamic html) & JavaScript code library The ad site is: FightingArts.com Forums: Viewing list of forums (a former PR4 page 1 year ago) Can anyone clue me in as to whether I could use my $1080 per year in a better way? Please delete Mods, if I have given to much information or something that is "out of line". I couldn't thik of anywhere else that would let me post a link and let SEO experts have a peek. I use the "Action Ads" on the right side fo the pages, if that helps! Thanks! Last edited by cz; 01-02-2008 at 01:23 AM. Reason: forgot something |

"I pay $89 per month for site wide links coming from a site/forum/reading area that are dead on match for relevancy." They advertise 1.5 million page views per month. That's a lot if your ad is shown on all page views. You ask. "Can using their paid "advertising" (produces no visitors) be harming me now in light of Google changes?" If 1.5 million ad views is producing no visitors - something is wrong. sometimes in forums it only pays to place an advert for a short period of time, this is because it is usually the case that the same users are viewing your ad. If they looked at your site last month. . They probably will not look at that ad again. In the light of Google changes? . . If user traffic for the forum from Google has slumped. . If your user traffic from Google has slumped. then something has caused it. The current trend in popular opinion is "paid links will do that" Do you get any stats from the site. I would prefer not to count page views that show for less than a few seconds. Does the site currently show 1.5 million page views, (any evidence of this ) But the bottom line is. . . (produces no visitors) TIME TO CHANGE.
