Default Re: Supplemental Index Dead?

When I got home from work I logged in to check up on a few posts, and, surprised by the number of comments added here on what for most of us is the Friday night before a major holiday, had to see what was such a hot topic. After reading through the posts from 5pm on...

I was going to say something about a need to relax, spirit of the season and all that stuff, but it occurred to me that this is a board dedicated to the discussion of proprietary concepts, in an industry revolving around just as much speculation, rumor, innuendo and theory as it does cold hard facts. Differences of opinion are a natural result of this, and if we didn't have different ideas to share, this would be an awfully quiet board, and the SEO/SEM industry would be in big trouble without that sharing of ideas. Nobody knows everything, and some of us (myself included) know next to nothing, especially in this industry, which is based upon trying to decipher algorithms designed to be inscrutable.

That being said, is anyone else noticing a trend in the last few days for threads to spiral out of control? And it's not new troublemakers or spammers - it is longterm, well respected members, and even moderators contributing to the problem.

I for one am willing to chalk it up to the stress of the upcoming holidays - I wouldn't be typing this if it weren't for the jug of eggnog fortifying me... Maybe a bit of a breather for the holiday, for everyone to relax and enjoy the end of the year and the beginning of next, to calm down (just a little) and start fresh in a few days?

Thumbs up Re: Supplemental Index Dead?

You are right Wige.

To all who have felt offended or disappointed from my posts in this debate, I just wanted to make clear once for all, that I never had or have anything personal against anyone.

I hope those members will forgive me, for not being able to express myself in that tone.

After all all I wish you a merry Christmas, happy holidays and a very happy and successful new year!
