Hi everyone and thank you for your time.
I've recently added a new site to my dashboard in google's webmaster tools and when I check out the top search queries for that site I find the key-phrase "Phone number "000 000 0000"" listed. I've made sure that string is no where on the site and when I click on the phrase in google's webmaster tools which takes me to google's search page my site isn't displayed there at all. The indicators suggest that my site is at number 13 and 18 for that key-phrase (Phone number "000 000 0000") Does anyone have a similar issue with google's webmaster tools top search queries displaying that phrase? Any input is appreciated. Thank you!

I'll say this from looking at several of my own website's stats.... people type some very very strange things into search engines, and at the fringes optimised websites can rank highly for odd phrases.... a while ago one of my websites had a no 1 ranking for the term "promotional gonks" a phrase completely unrelated to the content which was all about a magician.

I actually thought about that, and added the tele number to several places on the site just in case google was trying to let me know that they didn't find one... so i added the tele number AND still can't and won't find that string anywhere on our site so...but thanks for that...i thought the same Dr. T.

If you search for phone number x, replacing x with your actual phone number, does your site come up? It may be that Google is detecting that a phone number was used in the search, but is hiding the actual number that was searched for. Just a thought.
