First, let me say that I've enjoyed reading all the posts on this board, and have decided to stop lurking and start posting.
Yesterday I noticed this URL in my stats:
http://go.google.com/hws/search which results in a 403 Access Forbidden error. If you remove the hws/search from the URL, you're taken to what looks like just any Google page.
Out of pure curiosity, I tried to search with
link:go.google.com and
allinurl:go.google.com. When I search with the latter, I get links that point to go-google.com, (notice the "-" instead of ".") which looks like a google affiliate just trying to make some $ on searches. The link: search produces just a handful of strange links, the top 3 being Spanish, Turkish, and Romanian.
Just thought this was all pretty weird, given the recent google changes. I'm curious if anyone is familiar with what
http://go.google.com is all about.
Edit: This is very interesting. When I use go.google.com to search for my keywords, the old results (from a week or so ago) pop up - the ones where I was actually listed, not the results with google's new update, which seem to have over 50% foreign web results, and which show me nowhere on the map.
