Google organic listings - including an image!

The first listing here:
hosting explorers - Google Search
has an image to the left of the listing.

How and why?

I have not seen this before, or have I been asleep!

It does happen from a while and I've seen that kind of image mainly when the result points to youtube. Well, how to get it...I would like to know it myself.

Yes, the parameters in the google link confirm it is related to youtube, but how and WHY?

Anybody???? Or are you busy trying to find out why!

There you have it. Are these results going to be relevant to your query? Maybe not, but the results are based on popularity and user behavior.

In theory, that should be shown as part of universal search, and should point directly to the video file or the page containing the video file. However I can not find any evidence that such a video file actually exists, unless there is some sort of cloaking going on, or Google screwed something up. Both the image itself, and the text link beside point to the company home page, and there is no video file embedded in that page that I could find. Also, there is no redirection resulting from clicking the link (IE, I go to the video page, it is not there and I get a 301/302 redirect back to the site home page).

I think the video exists, but as you say wige, they've messed something up with the links. None of them go anywhere near youtube.

Unless I've missed something, I'm guessing it's more important for them to be first to market than to have a product that actually works as intended.

In case anyone is wondering what this was all about the image has now gone!!

Seems Google screwed up...
