My company's software product includes a LIVE TOTE BOARD FEATURE along with its Dog Racing Handicapping.
Because this aspect of our software is unique, we'd originally challenged viewers to search Google for: "dog racing software" +"live tote board" and find only one REFERENCE!! Our webpage... Well, I just did that search today, and did manage to find our webpage, but also all sorts of pages which were SEARCHES and included our page. Here's my point - this is evidence that Google is including search engine references and is therefore bloated and therefore taking a lot of time to respider the web because of this. Why would they spider search results?? Mike |

Googlebots simply do their job :)
There were (somewhere in the net) links to this sites and that's why they were indexed. Very often this kind of search engines include on their page special section like 'Top 20 searches' or 'Last 10 searches' where this links are included, and that's why they are spidered.

If you get a page in the search results, then Googlebot must have followed a link to that page of results from somewhere. CBP |

I suppose you all are making my point! It amazes me that "Googlebot" can "read" these pages and determine they are a page full of search engine results VS an actual page on the internet, and simply ignore them!
The fact that it doesn't, and these pages are obviously out there in who knows how large of a number, makes it obvious to me why it is now taking "googlebot" so long to index the "real sites". Mine just got done again today, and thankfully I am back at number 1 with my key phrase. |

Hey Mike multiple links to your site from many other sites is not a bad thing.
It matters not how customers arrive at your site, so long as they do arrive, even if its from an intermediate stop on another site, and it also helps your rankings a bit. |
