Default Noframe & Noembed tags

Hello,

I have many clients where i have used noembed tag for flash & noframe tag for frame page. The sites are running successfully & also having rankings for most of the targeted keywords in google .

My question to all SEO's gurus is that whether these tags are consider as hidden text. The reason why i asked this is that this text are only been seen by SE's & to the browser where flash or frame are disabled.

Kindly guide or give your valuable feedback on the same.

Thanks & Regards -- Ann

Question Re: Noframe & Noembed tags

Thanks incrediblehelp for the link. I have gone through the link.

But my question is different. I mean to ask whether using noembed & noframe tags are considered as hidden text. Some days or week back i read an article which says about it but i forgot to bookmark the URL. So now i cannot figure it out & thought that SEO gurus of WPW can show some light on it.

Ann, the noframe and noembed tags are not considered being hidden text.
  • NOEMBED Text and tags within the NOEMBED tags will be ignored by most EMBED capable browsers, but will be read by non-EMBED capable browsers.
Text and tags within the NOEMBED tags will be ignored by most EMBED capable browsers, but will be read by non-EMBED capable browsers.
  • NOFRAMES Text and tags within the NOFRAMES tags will be ignored by most frames capable browsers, but will be read by non-frame capable browsers.
Are bots embed or frame capable user agents? NO!

Therefore, since bots can not read frames and embed files, it is used legally.

Conclusion: Those tags do nothing else than for example the <noscript> tags. As bots cannot read Javascript, the <noscript> is used as an alternative.
