Default drop and lost rinking in google

around 2 month a go, my website is good rangking. Good position # 2 in one key word.
But around 1 month ago, my website is drop until pages 100th in google in same keyword.
And around 4 week ago until now, my website is lost for same keyword.
I don't know what happen ? I don't change my website.

For informations, my website still on #1 in yahoo and MSN for the same keyword. My website BALI FURNITURE Rattan Teak and Bamboo and keyword is "bali furniture"

Some causes for a drop in ranking may include

1) Server downtime?
2) reciprocal links

Your still listed, just a long way down. You can check your Google position for a keyword or phrase without trawling the Google results pages here. I just looked - 300th on Google, but very strong on Yahoo! & MSN.

I would imagine you've been hurt by the recent algo updates Google have implemented. Lots of people have gone down, lots have gone up. The actual improvement in terms of relevance doesn't appear to have been positive, so Google may roll back this appalling update.

Of what use are all these link exchanges for visitors to your site:

Martty - you raise an interesting point and something I'd like to know if anyone has the answer. Obviously the links page we're looking at is purely a reciprocal links page - swapping links regardless of content and relevance.

We're told link exchanges aren't appreciated by Google any more, but does that hold if the exchange IS a relevant one? I exchanged links from my Taekwondo site to Steve Conway's. Now I think it's relevant, and the two sites both have something to offer, with different content based on the same topic. Does Google not agree with that anymore, or is their algo smart enough to weed out a relevant link exchange from a poor one?

Google appears to be moving radically again - just jumped 20 places. 55th to 35th when G says it has 8000000 results for the keyword can't be bad. They seem to be updating every 6 hours or so at the moment. Wonder where I'll be when the dust settles....

Is it true that Google does not like link exchanges anymore? If so, other than blogs, how can you get one way links to your site?

Easy. Directory submissions. Social bookmarking sites. Forums. On top of those, plenty of sites of other types allow you to sign up as a "member" and you can backlink from your profile page.

I'd put blogs at the bottom of your list particularly if we're talking comments - rel=nofollow has killed that avenue (rightly or wrongly). Personally I think wrongly, but I think comments SHOULD be moderated and Google doesn't agree and nor do the vast majority of bloggers.

Personally (and I might be wrong) I don't think reciprocal linking is dead, just that Google is smart enough to see that a site with theme A linking to a sight with theme B is obviously trying to game the system. Two sites with theme A linking to each other, assuming the content is on topic, but different on both sites should still hold some weight.

made s did the link above help? Did you go through and try the recommendations from Webnauts? Also you seem to have a low number of back links. I suggest you go through some SEO newbie links and apply some of the concepts to your website.

Change some of your internal links. Add some links, take some out. And see what happens.

No need to change them all,.. just start with like 10 of them and wait until it gets indexed again. Maybe nothing will change, maybe you'll have your rankings back. Maybe something in between. In any way, keep your site updated, and that includes internal links.
