I have a site that google hasn't indexed. The index.htm page has been online since November. I submitted it a few days ago using the Google webmaster tools. It verified my site, but I get these two messages:
No pages from your site are currently included in Google's index. Indexing can take time. You may find it helpful to review our information for webmasters and webmaster guidelines. We can't currently access your home page because of an unreachable error. Also, it wouldn't locate my sitemap either. I just re-submitted it. For some reason when I entered my domain, I had to enter http://mydomain.com. It wouldn't let be submit http://www.mydomain.com. It's the same was with the sitemap. I can use either URL and get to my site though. Yahoo has me indexed pretty high, but I get nothing at all with Google. I added the metatag and it verified my site when I submitted it to Google. Any suggestions on what to try to get Google to find my site? I'm pretty much a novice with this. I have another site on the same server and Google found it with no problem. I'll list the URL's to my site and sitemap in links below. Thanks for any help. Link to site Link to my sitemap I didn't add the www to either link although they work fine when typed into a browser) |

These links looks like they're for sites that were once indexed by Google and have since been banned. I have no evidence that my site was indexed in the first place. Should I still apply for re-inclussion?
Yes I know that is the case fro that article. The fact is your not indexed. Please sign up for Google Webmaster Tools (submit for reinclusion if you want), build a sitemap and get some links to your website and your issues will be solved in a few months.
ok. I'm already signed up for GWT. I'll submit a reinclusion to try and get indexed.

Oh here we go. Try this Google too https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/sitestatusl, trying to check your site with the "www" prefix. You have a server configuration problem.

But your homepage has too less content: Webmaster Help Center - Little or no original content
And you do not need that index/follow. That is a default for search engines.

I removed the index/follow.
I can't keep my current index.htm page and be listed with Google? It gives my site visitors two important options that I want them to choose from. I wasn't trying to fool Google or anything. It's just the way I designed my website. |
You're talking about listing my site on other sites? If so, I have another site that doesn't have any links to it and Google has indexed it pretty well.

It's not a great site at all and I could do more to probably get a better ranking, but Google has my index page listed #3 when you type in my name.

Why don't you try to add your site to some web directories. An excellent option which I use for myself and my clients may be found here: LIST: High Ranking Directories and Indices

Should I do the $9 (Permanent Regular Links) or the $22 (Permanent Featured Links) ? What is aReciprocal Link URL? Where in my index page should I add the HTML code they require you to add to validate the reciprocal link? |

I did the $9 (Permanent Regular Links). If you want to invest a bit more, go for the featured. Quote:

I read the info at the link you provided twice before I posted that. When I read it the third time I understood it better. Like I said, I'm still learning and don't get these things immediately.
