Default Cached or Not Cached - Is Google Confused or am I?

So I am a little perplexed, one of my sites home pages (The Wall Aquarium SuperStore) (www . thewallaquarium . com) does not appear to be cached by Google when using "cache:www . thewallaquarium . com".

The weird part is that when you use "site:www . thewallaquarium . com" it says that it HAS cached the site's home page? The other part that is confusing is that the majority of the deeper pages of the site have been cached and ranked, while the home page appears to be untouched.

There appears to be no data for it in Google; backlinks, cache, anything...even through the Google webmaster tools. When using other back link tools there are more than 20 backlinks that appear. The sitemap is being downloaded just fine every couple weeks, but the homepage still remains a mystery.

Any ideas on what the problem may be or what is going on? I'm not sure what to do.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Looking at your site, it seems that none of your internal pages link to www. thewallaquariam .com, but instead add another word to the end. This may be causing Google to see a page with absolutely no internal links (called an orphan page) and duplicate content, and both pages may be affected as a result.

First off site: operators are not accurate at all, so I don't want to discuss why sometimes they work and sometimes they don't.

I wouldn't worry to much on seeing the website cached in Google considering how new it is. Take the advice of Wige and build out some better internal links and concentrate on more content and build backlinks for now. Those other items will work themselves out.

Thanks for the feedback! I'll make the changes to the internal links and then be patient while I continue to add backlinks.

Thanks again!

Hi guys

Sorry to resurrect an older post but I'm having a problem and need some advice. This post seemed kind of relevant.

My site, www choicequote co uk has enjoyed decent Google listings for most pages for years but I have always struggled with my van insurance page.

This has baffled me for some time. I understand that it is a more competitive market than some of my other lines of business and that there are more search results and so on but I've only had problems with this one particular page. It is even rendering my AdWords campaign for this product useless and the quality score must be in the minus figures

What made me think that there was something really wrong was a week or so ago I generated a new Google SiteMap and the whole van insurance section got skipped completely.

I added it in manually and submitted but when I check Google's cache, it says it doesn't exist.

When I finally find the page in the SEPRs, it has a title which doesn't appear anywhere in the page and no description.

I'm baffled and would appreciate some help with this one.

Peter

Ok, I've resurrected an old post but I'm not overly concerned with that site.........perhaps I should start a new post.
