FeedBurner to Google for $100M, maybe?

Om Malik is reporting rumors that FeedBurner is being traded to team Google for $100M. As predicted. They are clearly worth more than $53M. Trust me, I know.

I would say this is actually a done deal as this will allow Google to display advertising in RSS streams something which is not done currently on a wide scale.

With the recent buy of DoubleCLick, Google needs to make this buy in order to take full advantage of the DoubleClick Ad server.

Pure business decision which is a foregone conclusion and now it's just about the $$$

Edit: And if Microsoft Msn Gates Ballmer were smart they would snipe that deal with an insane amount of money and set Google back abit in their plans. Though Google does have the capacity to build its own rss synidication system.

Google may have the ability to build it, but they don't have the user base Feedburner already does. That's what they're buying - user base.
