Default Index.html goes from a PR4 to a PR3

I just noticed that my site has dropped a PR value. I was a PR4 and now a PR3 for my index page.

Although I know many here say it’s not important, what would/has caused this?

Suggestions are welcome. Any specific ideas are also welcome. Time to implement... at a premium.

Thanks all.

Most sites I monitor dropped by 1 during the last update. Those doing lots of link building seemed to hold, but it seems like a minus 1 hit across the board.

As much as I try not to rely on it (and I really don't for important things like considering a link exchange), I do enjoy looking at it. So as difficult as it is, I'm trying to train myself now to believe that a PR2 is really a PR3, and a PR3 is really a PR4.

I felt a little shock when I first saw the drop, but then felt a little comforted when I saw that an SEOs site had also dropped by 1.

Everything is relative, yea?

Probably some of your current IBLs were either devalued or removed from the websites they were on.

One of my websites PR has also dropped by 1.

Well, it doesn't matter to me, because Page Rank is not the constraint.

but I suggest here that you should be strong on your back links now... work on link development.... so that you can get a better PR on next update.

best of luck
