Default Next Backlink/PR Update?

As many of you know, the last backlink/PR update was on Monday, January 12th. I know there is no certain answer, but I am greatly anticipating this upcoming Google ritual. My guess is that the next PR update will be within 1 week. Anyone willing to agree or disagree?

Thanks,
Daniel

Lately the publically available PR and backlinks is updated about monthly. It happens internally at Google more often or on a different schedule (ie search results have not been changing when publically available PR and backlinks change).

The Flordia and Austin "updates" were not PR and backlink updates, they were a change in the ranking algorithm.

BTW, as Google only show a sample of backlinks (and never then all) and PR is a smaller part of the ranking formula, these updates are bit of an anticlimax compared to the past - they are not worth "sweating" over.

Thanks CBP. After reading what you said, I did a search and several Usenet posts from last December confirm what you said-- Google's internal PR/backlink update does occur more frequently than the unimportant, publically available PR/backlink update.

Also, thanks for confirming that PR is not as important as it used to be. I am relying on anchor text in backlinks.

Awaiting Google's internal magic,
Daniel
