Default Something's Happening at G -

At G, I type in site:www.gardecor.com and the first page says Results 1 - 10 of about 2,360 .

I go to page 2 of this result and it says
Results 11 - 16 of about 270

And lists only 2 pages.

My internal pages dropped from PR 2 to 0 just today.

Any idea what's going on?

This happens with Google all the time. I wouldn't worry about it for one second.

Phew! Thanks for the assurance. Sometimes I feel like I'm chasing a red herring with this SEO stuff.

Hey blitzen! I think this issue happens with all the sites.

This is really bad because we don't have a reliable indicator of whether our SEO efforts are paying off - except time.

I never know how long to wait after modifying a page or the site to test it to see if I'm moving in the right direction.

I shouldn't edit for SEO until I know that the last SEO edits are right. Does anyone have a rule of thumb for this? I.e., after I edit, do I wait 1 day, 1 week, 1 month, 1 quarter or how long before testing to see if the edits worked.

Thanks!

Traffic, sales, conversions are what tells me.

Hi blitzen! PR can go back to to the same numbers in a few days easily. Don't worry about it.

Thanks - they did.

When I see this happen, is that when I might see a change in positioning?

The internal pages dropping from PR2 to O are a signal that the pages were moved to the supplemental index.

Do a search site:gardecor.com -www and you will find that you have a problem -- 2,070 pages have gone supplemental.
