Default Update In Google, Any one else noticing it....

I have been hitting my site for about an hour and my rankings have plummeted. Now, I know Google could be resetting the algorithms, but what else do you think it could be? I'm hoping it's temporary. I've seen it before-- an influx when that happens. you?

My sites have been going up and down for weeks now but have finally steadied and sites less than three months old now have rank. I'm happy.

Yes - just got an update and internal pages now have PR :-) We've got a lot of interest in the coast at the moment - with the beaching of a cargo ship off the south coast! Read all about it!!

They are introducing a new filtering of backlinks to the algorithm. I have actually seen this filtering happening for over 6 weeks now.

My site has gone up in rank and back down to the same page rank. Any idea when this will settle?

**Hope it settles Higher!

I suspect never. Internal PR (which is all you have to worry about) is ever changing.

There is definitely an algorithm change - separate to the general toolbar update from earlier this month - going on.

However, I am not seeing a massive impact on SERPs yet - seems to be affecting a few sites massively rather than a massive number of sites slightly.
