Default -30 Google Penalty

Hello,

It seems that the site http://www.asiarooms.com has undergone -30 penalty in Google Search Engine.
Can anybody provide me what actually the situation is with this site.

The site may have been penalized for duplicate content.

There are free duplicate content checkers available for download.

Here's one:

There really isn't a duplicate content penalty. What happens when G* finds dup content is that it chooses one version and the others are gone.

If I duplicated a page from another site and my page was removed from G's index or tossed into Supplemental Results, I would call that a penalty. :o) Sometimes G screws up and doesn't correctly identify the original version.

Hi, Dubbya! Could you please tell what the other 2 checkers are?

Still you cant call it a penalty when it is truly just filtering. Of course I see what you mean and this may be just semantics. It is really hard to find instances where the original doesn't rank over the copier. Usually scrappers cant compete with the original just because of the IBLs going to the 1st copy alone. If you're getting beat by a scrapper, simply get more authoritative links.

Ujjwalgreeb I checked up to 500 pages of the site, and I have not found any duplicated pages. I also checked if the site is linking to bad neighborhoods, and I could not find something like that either.

Can someone tell me here how you came up with the duplicated pages? And Ujjwalgreeb how did you come up with that -30 penalty?

Hi,Webnauts! Would you please tell me which tool do you use for for duplicate content. The one that was mentioned in this thread, just unavailable to download, but supposed to be a good one.

Two posibilities:

To test up to 500 pages with this sitemap generator: http://www.sitemapdoc.com/

To test manually two urls or pages at a time: http://tool.motoricerca.info/similarity-analyzer.phtml

I tried it before and the main disadvantage with it; it checks only one page manually, and I'm looking for something that checks many pages automatically. I'm going to give a try for those two tools recommended by Webnauts. Thank you in advance, I hope they will work.

Good update on this from WMW:

Is it a "950 Penalty"? or is it Phrase Based Re-ranking

Default -30 Google Penalty

Hi Webnauts,

While seaching any of the keywords the google shows the ranking of the web pages after 30. The site not ranks even with the domain name "Asiarooms"....

It also does not ranks with the keywords that have a minor competition in Google.

Two issues on the fly:

1. The keyword/keyphrase Asia rooms does not even appear in your title tag.

2. I have detected the repetition of words in the body text. Check your text carefully and make sure that you're not repeating words over and over again, which is considered to be spamming.
