I think the majority of similar cases is hit by recent 'improvement' of link exchange filters.
Although their "link:" tool is not so reliable, Google returns not a single link to your site.
You should first check this page and correct the stuff you think should be corrected.

There are also some broken links from your pages and missing files (I have added spaces "w w w." in order not to make bad links from here):

h t t p : /// (two times on the first page)
w w w . present.htm/
/ consultant.search-now007.com/
w w w . fmctax.com/
w w w . ddpayroll.com/
w w w . contactyourcpa.com/www.rincome.com
w w w . contactyourcpa.com/Wealth
w w w . contactyourcpa.com/SD
w w w . aboutdollar.com/browse/3162/2/cpa_directories.html
w w w . contactyourcpa.com/Wealthpreservation_files/editdata.mso
w w w . contactyourcpa.com/Wealthpreservation_files/oledata.mso
w w w . contactyourcpa.com/Hedge%20Funds_files/editdata.mso
w w w . contactyourcpa.com/Hedge%20Funds_files/oledata.mso
w w w . contactyourcpa.com/SDTaxInstitute.pdf
w w w . contactyourcpa.com/myweb13/Hedge%20Funds_files/editdata.mso
w w w . contactyourcpa.com/myweb13/Hedge%20Funds_files/oledata.mso
w w w . contactyourcpa.com/myweb13/Wealth%20Preservation_files/editdata.mso
w w w . contactyourcpa.com/myweb13/Wealth%20Preservation_files/oledata.mso

...as well as internal anchors with the same name, repeated several times or missing ones (space added again):

w w w . contactyourcpa.com/#Back to tax
w w w . contactyourcpa.com/index.html#Back to tax
w w w . contactyourcpa.com/Income%20Tax%20Preparation%20Organizer.html#Your Name
w w w . contactyourcpa.com/Income%20Tax%20Preparation%20Organizer.html#Call me about the box
w w w . contactyourcpa.com/index-3.html#COMPANY AND OTHER ENTITY FORMATIONS
w w w . contactyourcpa.com/myweb13/index-4.html#Your Name
w w w . contactyourcpa.com/newsletter.html#Your Name
w w w . contactyourcpa.com/myweb13/Income%20Tax%20Preparation%20Organizer.html#Your Name
w w w . contactyourcpa.com/myweb13/Income%20Tax%20Preparation%20Organizer.html#Call me about the box
w w w . contactyourcpa.com/myweb13/index-3.html#COMPANY AND OTHER ENTITY FORMATIONS

w w w .contactyourcpa.com/index-4.html#Company Name (missing)

I would correct this first and then check the ib links issue.

Default Addweb

Thank you for your valuable input! I am a complete novice at this but learning slowly. Please clarify a broken link is one that doesn't go anywhere, ie not associated with a page, is that correct. I am thinking of using addweb to do more site links, do you know if it is any good. I have many links not sure why google is not picking it up.

Or they are no relevant quality links, or they are bad neighborhoods...

Those issues must be carefully examined.

What do you mean by bad neighborhoods, like "spam" sites?

I think your advice to novices doing tax preparations is to leave the job to professionals until they become fully prepared. ;)

Always good to broaden ones horizons, to be ranked on the first page for many relevant keywords, not bad for a novice it is a simple website, likewise a simple return simply requires a off the shelf tax program.

I could do my own taxes but it would take along time and I might make a mistake. Same goes for SEO, most can learn and do some simple tasks on their own, but it is best to leave it someone that has a full understanding of what could be done better or what is currently going wrong.

Some points:

1. I would not rely on SEO software of any kind to give you advice on changes to your website.

2. You have the same title/meta tags on multiple pages.

3. Like mentioned above you have ton of dead out bound links on pages within the website.

4. Do you have any websites or high quality that link to you using the keyword "CPA San Diego"?

Default Google rank gone

The other posters have commented on a number of things you can fix and as they have said their are a number of problems with your site_listings.htm page.

1). Too many links on one page.
2). Broken links and broken code.
3). Non-relevant links.
4). Quite possibly links to bad neighborhoods.

The page screams of a link farm which have been getting many people in trouble for over a year now.

Fix all of the above suggestions, only with fixing the duplicated title tags on the other pages in the site and organize your links into categories and probably break them out into different pages.

Hope this helps.

I had a quick closer look and I have discovered some very important issues:

1. Semantical Structure is a disaster: http://www.w3.org/2005/08/online_xsl...t-semantic.xsl
2. Loading time is a disaster: http://www.websiteoptimization.com/s...ctyourcpa.com/
3. You are also using many irrelevant meta tags.

Good luck. :)

Just because Google doesn't report many links when you query with the "link:" operator it doesn't mean they are unaware of others. To get an idea, use the equivalent facility on Yahoo and Alltheweb. You can bet that Google is most likely aware of all the links those sites report. But that doesn't mean that Google thinks those links are necessarily worth much when it comes to ranking your site. I depends upon the quality of the links and the sites they come from.

Also very important, make sure that YOU don't link to a bunch of irrelevant sites, to sites with Google bans, or to sites that clearly indulge in iffy SEO techniques - including link manipulation.
