Default Information not there when I click on Google Alert link

I have wondered about this for a while, and now it is really bugging me. Many times I get a Google Alert emailed to me and when I click on the link in the email there is no information there about what the alert is set up for.

Does anyone else experience this and does anyone know what the deal is?

Thanks.

Are you sure you don't have any alerts set up? check: www.google.com/alerts

Also, the subject of the email should be the alert itself.

Yes, I do have the alerts set up to be emailed to me. However when I get the alert and click the link in the email, the information that is supposed to be in the alert is not on the website that the link takes me to.

It sounds as though you are being sent to spam sites that are revolving their content in an attempt to get Google interested. It seems to be working... (:-<
