Default moving to uk server and .co.uk domain ?

Hi all,

I know there has been alot of talk recently about being dropped off the uk google index myself being included.

I am moving to a dedicated server from a shared and have a .com domain.

I am relaunching my site with thousands of new content pages in the new year. I was going to just move to a uk server to get back into the uk google index. But there has been alot of different opinions about even that working.

There fore i am considering setting up my new site as a .co.uk domain in uk server.

Thing is i want to initially target europe. Does this mean i have to set up all other country domains and hostings in other countries to get into there index's ?

What about the .eu domain ? does anyone have any experience with this ? is it included in all europe index's etc ?

How do companies get around this?

one a different query :
I also am launching a directory under a sub domain does anyone know how long it takes to get into index etc for new sub domains. is it even advantageous ?

Please tell me of your experiences and opinions of these 2 above queries.

Sorry about the long post!

Best Regards
Richard Moss

You might as well now with the recent findings.

You should not have to do this. In fact I see plenty of websites that don't have to do this and get some great results. Of course most all of these websites have incredibly well written content for each country targeted.

I think the SEO specialist would need to know about your long term goals to know if building separate domains or one .com is the best solution. In fact I would not rely on one thread in a forum to make this type of decision.

Just as long as building a brand new page. Mmake sure you have some solid internal linking to this new sub-directory page.

if i change to a .co.uk domain though shall i just have the content for uk on this site and have all content for other countries on .com domain?

or just move .com domain to a uk server and have my good content seperated into countries ?

also i have owned the .co.uk domain for my site for 2 years just redirecting it to .com . Does owning the domain for a time period matter for getting into googles index when launching a new site on a diffferent domain?

thanks alot for your help.

I agree. Everyone is asking us to reveal all our secrets, which is not naturally not possible.

If you have the budget for that, why not? Otherwise, I will give you only one, but basic tip of many others: Try to get IBLs from sites of the targeted countries.

I do not see any power in that domain alone.

They hire professional SEOs.

Subdomains can be advantageous.
But no one can't tell a date when will be indexed, except of the SE.
