Default Google Sitemap Text Problem

I've submitted a Google sitemap in text format. It has endless errors as Google requires one url per line and there are two or three on each line separated by spaces. How can I replace the spaces by returns to sort this out? Find and replace doesn't seem to accept a return. There are about 1400 urls so I'd rather not do it by hand.

I use it too, and it is the best I know, but you can only generate up to 500 URLs.

Thank you - that allows 500 pages and I've got over a 1000 but that looks the route to go. I'll google for some more generators I think.
