Default Monster URLs & Google's Response

Peace be upon all

The Question : " Huge urls - Google likes them or dislikes them ?? "

- is it a myth that G doesnt like very long Urls?

- if so then there are sites which have SEOed urls which are so long that they almost run till the end of the Address bar..and have been indexed by G

- but a week ago one of our collegues reported that G Sitemaps generated error for providing a long url... didnt index it at all ...

i suppose its not allowed here to mention the urls so cant provide both, the indexed n non-indexed one

need feed pls

AH

If you're not sure then keep the URL short. Long URLs have always been suspected of causing problems and using mod_rewrite keeping them short is a piece of cake.

I don't think it is really a fact of them being to long, but them having to many variables in them. Google has said to only use 2-3 variables in the URls and that is it.
