Default Remedy for GOOGLEfobia discovered!

Admit it, if Google was stable and predictable, we wouldn't have this forum here. Unfortunately Google undergoes occasional epileptic-like shookups and we all get worried. Fortunately we can talk it out here and feel better, hopefully, until the next attack. Well, happy to report, Google is not killing us any longer, although we lost a very busy #1 position and can not even find our site any more on Google with that keyword.

So what has changed? It's not Google, for sure. We do not have much control over it anyway, although it seems like it does over some of unfortunate souls on this board. We have changed. We decided we did not need to pay Google to be happy. We needed to look at our other options. The problem with many is that they try to figure out the "magic algorithms", get into a mind of spider bots and such. Well, how about this statement: You're concern about your site visibility, because your revenue depends on it. In fact, would you probably wouldn't even care about all that stuff if it didn't affect your bottom line - revenue? Why? Because you are in business. So in order to run a successful business, use business rules and common sense. Successful keywords are your assets. In fact treat them as your investment in your business.

Golden rule says, don't keep all your eggs in one basket!

January 25 was a black day on our calendar as well. Since then we've been busy resubmitting our terms to other engines. Guess what, as it turned out, we do not even need Google as much as we thought. Don't get hooked on any engine. They are all quite unpredictable.

Diversify!

Don't let Google run your business, do it yourself.

Yes thankyou for those words of wisdom!

I've been submitting like crazy for the last week and I've noticed that google hasn't recognized any of my links yet. But, AllTheWeb has more listed links than any other search engine. (I won't say how few, it's embarrasing!)

Why is everyone not blaming Google for returning results that have no relevance to the query?
We have all for years played the game according to the rules which Google laid down. Remember that, they made the rules, we did not.
So why is every CEO of a SEO outfit making a point of not blaming Google for the fiasco that is now their search engine.
Do they think that Google may penalise them further?
PC gone mad, I think.
Googles results are now so bad that people are deserting in their droves.
Why use a search engine which delivers utter drivel to their queries?
Forget Google, they are a spent force, Inktomi on the other hand......
