Default Help Needed.... my site has gone :-(

Hello, I own and run www.xboxs.net an online shop for all Xbox related games, accessories and the console of course ;-)

We used to hold P3 in Google and P4 in Yahoo for the search phrase "xboxs". I looked yesterday and both listings are not even on page 5 let alone page 1. I've changed nothing, but wondered if anyone was aware of Google changing something in their wonderful alogrythm?

Thanks in advance to all

Ashley Buck.

Default Xboxes site

A search on Google showed that only three sites linked back to you. That may have something to do with it. Then again, it may not. Who knows? Why exactly they take that into consideration is beyond me. I can see how it can apply to non-commercial sites but how can they expect competitors to give you a break by adding a link to your site? That only means that huge conglomerates working together have a chance to get their pages in the top results...Then again, maybe that's the desired effect...

the way you can kick but is by playing all the games you sell and honestly reviewing them

bet it would be easy to get links that way...if you change your idea to a xbox news site that also sells games vice focusing on just selling games you would make more money

at least thats my opinion. i also do not think google favors huge conglomorates given some of the rankings i have. i am as anticonglomorate as is possible

You appear to have a PageRank of 0/10 which would suggest to me that you need more links to the site. I would also be inclined to put your TITLE and META tags above your scripts as near to the top of the page as possible. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Nick
