Sitemap info not agreeing with cache on searched pages

Whenever I login to my google account and check on my sitemap, I see that it has been spidered recently and thus, I assume the cache would be updated as well.....not.

When I do a search for my site, I see lots of pages that are still very old cached pages, from months back.

Does anyone know why the member area would say my pages have been spidered again but the cache is still old online?
